Day on Campus Was A Success

2023 Day on Campus

It had been four long, frustrating years since our last Day on Campus in March of 2019 due to the lingering Covid pandemic. Even though we hosted virtual Days on Campus in 2021 and 2022, there is nothing quite like actually being here on the lovely shores of beautiful Lake Monroe in person with our loved ones. We were so excited to welcome more than 450 guests to our Enterprise Campus on March 25th!

We had visitors from most of our districts come to celebrate the amazing work of the Children’s Home, some driving four hours or more. They went on tram tours of our campus, enjoyed cottage visits led by our residents, attended specialized break-out sessions, enjoyed a delicious box lunch, and see our residents lead in worship and perform in “The Wizard of Oz!” According to feedback we have received, “a wonderful time was had by all!”

We were honored to announce our Annual Day on Campus award winners: Our 2022 Local Church Representative of the Year – Nancy Pandolph from First Church Oviedo; Our 2022 Churches of the Year – Faith UMC and First UMC of Boynton Beach; Our 2022 Pastor of the Year – Reverend Doctor Charles Lever from Orange Park UMC in Orange Park and our 2022 Mission Work Team of the Year from Southside UMC in Jacksonville. We congratulate you with hearts full of gratitude for all you do to bless our youth and children throughout the state of Florida!

We also want to take this opportunity to thank all of you who made this possible: Local Church Representatives, Pastors, Mission Coordinators, the dozens and dozens of volunteers who made this possible and our staff who have been working toward this day for four years now. Mere mortal words could never adequately express our gratitude and appreciation for all you do! We could not do this without you. Thank you!

April 30 Is Our Next Fifth Sunday

It is hard to believe but our second Fifth Sunday of 2023 is quickly approaching on April 30th. You should have received your inserts, posters and envelopes this week. The video and links will go out within the next week. Remember, from the very beginning days, even before the establishment of the Florida Methodist Orphanage in 1908, the Fifth Sunday offering has served as the backbone of all we do here and it still does!
