A guide to telling people about Jesus based on the book of Romans

God created the world and revealed Godself to us

(Rom 1:20 NAU) 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.

But we sinned against God

(Rom 1:21 NAU)  21 For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

God still chooses to be kind to us and help us come back to God to receive eternal life.

(Rom 2:4,7 NAU)  4 Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?
 7 to those who by perseverance in doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life;

If we repent, we can have the righteousness of God through faith in Christ Jesus

(Rom 3:22-24 NAU)  22 even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction;
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
24 being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus;

We have peace with God and God will lead us on to glory

(Rom 5:1-5 NAU) Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
 2 through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God.

 5 and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

So now we live as God desires

(Rom 6:12-13 NAU) 12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts,
 13 and do not go on presenting the members of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
