Gods Protective Cloud

God will always look out for us. That’s his promise when we accept his grace and power. He gives us protection so that no matter what, we can stand strong against whatever is thrown our way. Our responsibility is not to have the strength to make it through but to have the strength to rely on God. Our strength can never withstand what the world throws our way, but God is always strong enough. Peter wrote this:
“Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are. In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.” –1 Peter 5:9-10 NLT

As we continue learning from Israel in the desert, don’t forget to keep your eyes on God and trust that he is protecting you. Draw into him in good times and bad.
“How do we respond? We draw near to Christ and keep ourselves under the protective cloud of His grace.” –The Red Sea Rules, by Robert J. Morgan (Rule 3)

Take a moment now to stop and reflect. Write down the things you’ve learned this week and how you’ve been challenged. Remember, I’m always here to help you when you have questions. We can journey together to work through how to apply the things God is teaching you.

Thoughts to Ponder

  • What have I learned about responding to evil in my life?
  • How have I created new spiritual safeguards?
  • Is there anything I need further help figuring out?
