Recognition in Resurrection
Luke 24:16-17 (NLT)
16 But God kept them from recognizing him.
17 He asked them, “What are you discussing so intently as you walk along?”
They stopped short, sadness written across their faces.

In moments of profound grief, it can be difficult to recognize the transformative work of God. Like Mary Magdalene, who initially did not see Jesus at the tomb, individuals may be blinded by their sorrow, missing the divine presence before them. It is in the calling of one's name by Jesus that the veil of despair lifts, revealing His presence and the hope He brings.
Reflection Question: Recall a time of deep sorrow or struggle. How might Jesus have been calling out to you, and how can you be more attentive to His presence in future trials?
