Carols for Kids: December Series Preview

As we prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ this Advent season, we invite children on a special journey through the timeless carols of Christmas. "Carols for Kids: An Advent Adventure" is a four-week series designed to help young hearts explore the true meaning of the season, connecting the joy of familiar Christmas songs with powerful Biblical truths.

This series is not just for children—it’s also aligned with the sermon series Pastor Faith will be preaching in service. While adults explore the themes of hope, peace, joy, and presence through their own Advent reflections, children will be learning the same truths in a way that’s fun, engaging, and accessible for their age. As families engage with the same themes at church, at home, and in the classroom, we’ll all be walking together on this journey to Christmas.

Week 1: "Come Thou Long Expected Jesus"
Theme: Hope in Anticipation
Scripture: Isaiah 40:1-5

Week 2: "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel"
Theme: Walking in the Path of Peace
Scripture: Isaiah 2:2-5

Week 3: "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing"

Theme: Joyful Freedom in Christ
Scripture: Isaiah 35

Week 4: "What Child Is This?"
Theme: The Gift of Presence
Scripture: Psalm 24

We are excited to embark on this journey together, growing closer to God as we sing, learn, and celebrate the gift of Christmas!

Family Resources

This Advent, we’re excited to offer Carols at Home, a special resource for families to enjoy together. Designed to complement both the adult "Carols" sermon series and the "Carols for Kids" lessons, this resource helps families connect with the same themes of hope, peace, joy, and presence as they prepare for Christmas.

Each week, Carols at Home provides easy activities, Scripture readings, discussion questions, and prayers that bring the weekly sermon and children’s lesson themes to life in your home. It’s a great way for families to reflect on Advent together, share meaningful conversations, and grow in faith.

Get a digital copy of Carols at Home here or pick-up hard copy up in the Worship Center.
