Sunshine & Spirit

Series Overview:
Just like summer brings warmth, sunshine, and growth all around us, the Holy Spirit brings warmth to our hearts and helps us grow in our faith. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we begin to show the Fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—in our everyday lives.
As plants need sunlight, water, and care to grow strong and healthy, our hearts need time with God, prayer, and the guidance of the Spirit to grow in love and character. This summer, we’re celebrating the ways God helps us shine His light, grow in goodness, and bloom with His love!
Whether you’re at the beach, in your backyard, or on a family trip, God is always at work helping us grow more like Jesus.
Week 8 (July 20th – VBS Sunday): "We Can Trust Jesus!"
  • Scripture: Matthew 28:16-20, Acts 1:8
  • Main Idea: No matter how we feel, we can trust Jesus because He gave us the Holy Spirit.

Week 9 (July 27th): "Self-Control – Making Wise Choices"
  • Scripture: 2 Timothy 1:7, Proverbs 25:28
  • Main Idea: The Holy Spirit helps us control our actions and make good choices.

Week 10 (August 3rd): "Spirit-Filled Celebration!"
  • Scripture: Galatians 5:25, Romans 8:14
  • Main Idea: When we follow the Holy Spirit, our lives overflow with God’s goodness.
