This is What We Do Series Preview

February 5, 12, and 19, 2023

Do you do This? This opens doors and solves problems. This inspires others to do This, too—it’s the good kind of contagious. When they tell our life stories, we want them to put This at the top. We are hardwired for This. This is who we are, and This Is What We Do.

It's easy to simply come to worship. It takes work on our part to connect with God. If you're connecting with God every time you're in worship, I'm so excited that you're being open to who God is in your life.

But...there's more! God wants to do more with you than Sunday mornings. He wants to be involved everyday and through a community. That's what it means to be a part of Fleming Island UMC. This is What We Do gives us a chance to reflect on where we are in our spiritual lives and to go deeper into them.

I pray every person is challenged and changed through these three weeks to go deeper with God. Even more, I pray God pushes us to act!

Want to get the most from this series? There are multiple ways:

1. Start praying NOW. Ask God to open your heart, speak to you, and show you what he wants from you in 2023. Pray for our church and everyone in it. Ask him to speak to others as well. Pray for me as well as I lead this series.
2. Start writing things down. I can't stress this one enough. I go back and read how God has been faithful through my prayers. It's such a blessing. Start now, writing what you're asking of God, and all the things you're thankful for. You'll be thankful for this practice down the road.
3. Pick your Bible Plan. You don't have to read the Bible plans I offer up, but be sure you're reading the scriptures DAILY. You hear from God easier when you're spending time in the Word.
