Pastors, Chaplains, and Reverends...Oh My

Last week, I had the pleasure of sitting around a table with pastors, chaplains, and deacons from different faith communities in our area! The Breaking Bread Ministry Alliance seeks to show the entire community that we are one body of Christ, no matter our race, gender, or denomination.

So far, the following faith communities are a part:
  • The VINE Fellowship
  • Clay County Sheriff’s Office
  • New Bethel Baptist
  • Mt. Zion AME Church
  • Praise in the Park Church
  • St. Mary’s Episcopal Church
  • Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church,
  • United Methodist Churches of GCS & Fleming Island
One of the alliance's events is a community sunrise service. They have a shared responsibility, sharing the music, prayers, and the message. I can't think of a better way to show the community the hope of the risen Lord than this! If you want to go, be sure to bring a lawn chair with you.

On 5th Sundays, they hold a community service, rotating churches.  For this month's service, I've been asked to give the message.
Bring a chair and be dressed to worship outside!
Side Note: I mentioned a few weeks ago I would be getting out into the community more...
