Pardon Our Dust

Please Pardon Our Dust!  While we make some exciting changes to our children's spaces.  We promise while our spaces might look a bit rougher than usual while we work on these changes, they will always be safe.

A few weeks ago, Pastor Faith announced that we had been approved  for a grant we applied for back in February.  This grant is giving us funding  to start a program within our children's ministry.   This program will allow us  to better serve children in our church and community with different disabilities.  This new program will entail Kids Club Staff & Volunteer trainings, the creation of a sensory room, as well as providing accommodations for children within the ministry as a whole.

In addition to changes and improvements related to the grant, we will also be making some improvements to hallway security and refreshing our classrooms.  We are still ironing out all our security details. But, all the classrooms will be given a fresh coat of paint and updated based on the specific needs of each age groups.  This could mean new space layouts, décor, and even toys.  As some of you may have noticed, updates have already begun in some of our classrooms and our goal is to have all our classrooms refreshed by December.

If you are interested in helping with painting or other little improvements to our children's spaces, we would love some help.
I am so excited about the growth in our children's ministry! When I started a year ago, we averaged 9 in the entire children's program, including our adult volunteers. We've had around 22 kids the past few weeks, with almost the same number of adults!
  • We've doubled the program in a year!
  • We haven't doubled our volunteers.

Katie is doing some great things to give the kid's space a refresh and help show how much we value our children. I would also love to see 8-10 new children's volunteers. As a helper, all you have to do is show up and have fun. We have a dedicated team of teachers who would love some smiling faces to lend an extra set of hands. Contact Katie if you want to learn more.
