FIUMC Students & VBS

As you may imagine putting on Vacation Bible School takes many volunteers.  This year we had 46 volunteers.  Thirteen of our amazing volunteers were students in grades 7th through 12th grade and we couldn't do VBS without them.  They bring a level of energy and excitement that most of us adults just can't match.  I know the kids and the adult volunteers appreciated them spending the week with us.    

After all their hard work during VBS, a few of the Students were able to join us at Get Air.  Saying they had a blast would be an understatement.  

We are currently working to figure out what our weekly fall programming will look like.   I am planning on reaching out to all of our students and their families over the next few weeks to find out what they are interested in and what would work best for them.  

In the meantime, I would love to invite all our Students (7th-12th Grade) to our Fall Kick-off: Saturday, August 26th with the Asbury UMC Youth.  We will be spending the day at the lake and have so many fun activities planned. Click here for more information. 

Once a month, starting in September we are going to be joining forces with the Asbury UMC Youth for a mission project (which is great way to earn community service hours).  After completing their mission project we will do something fun like a movie night, bowling, etc.
