Snowball Started

Sunday, I did something...maybe a bit dramatic. I challenged us to cover the church in prayer for 24 hours. It wasn't dramatic to me, but this might be. I'm going to keep challenging us until we reach the goal. Why? Because it takes time for a snowball to get going. You have to form, compact, and get it nice and round. After you get it just right, you can start it rolling. It will become unstoppable once you fight the perfect hill to roll your just-right snowball down, though.

When writing this, we've had 17 people praying over our church! That's a snowball start to what I believe is a prayer movement that will carry us into and strong through the following year. Friends, God has told me to keep going until we have more of our church praying.

Your Part in the Snow Ball

  • If you're praying on your own, shoot me a message and let me know. It's OK, I get it. You may want to refrain from formally participating. I have hopes and dreams about these prayers. I want to hear what's come from them in the weeks ahead. I'll put you on my list without putting you on my list.
  • You may not be a technology person. That's OK. Call me or the office, and we'll sign you up in a time slot without you having to use technology.
  • Don't let the fear of trying it keep you from the blessing. It's hard the first time you commit to praying for an hour. It gets easier, though. Remember, it won't hurt anything if you try.
