Why I'm Preaching It
I've lived in military communities for more than half my life, and have been a military family for almost 15 years. As long as I can remember, our government can't pass it's budget before the threat of a shutdown. When this happens, I watch the panic online of my fellow military, worried about how they will pay their bills if they don't get their next paycheck.
Research tells us that the number one thing couples fight about is money related. When shopping online, you can finance everything with a click of a button. If I can't afford the new shoes, makeup, or shampoo, I can put it on a payment plan. I'm preaching this series so we, as a church, can lead by example.
Imagine, if we all were free of debt. What if we could be free at any moment to follow God's calling to give to something in our community as God prompted us? Through this series, and the classes that go with, we'll be giving you the tools to do just that!
