Seeds of Support

The Boomers met on April 2nd and prepared the monthly mailbox motivations for the Bannerman (BLC) faculty and staff. Hagan Ace Hardware in Green Cove donated flower seed packets. We attached notes to each packet and placed them in faculty and staff mailboxes (pictured above).
This week, Pizza Hut of Green Cove provided the staff with pasta trays and breadsticks for lunch, and the Boomers provided salads, teas, and paper products.
Month after month, this group of retired persons does a fantastic job serving the BLC faculty and staff. They help ensure these hardworking men and women know they have people behind them and pray for them.
May 6-10 is Teacher Appreciation Week (TAW).

Rather than provide breakfast or lunch during May, we plan to fill the teachers' lounge refrigerator with drinks and snacks to last throughout TAW and provide lots of grab-and-go snacks they can enjoy throughout the week. Suggestions include (but are not limited to):
- canned sodas
- bottles of water
- flavor packets for water
- juice packs
- puddings
- yogurts
- individual bags of chips and pretzels
- snack crackers
- individual bags of nuts
- granola bars
- donuts
- apples
- fruit cups, etc.
Any snacks are welcome. These items need to be collected by Sunday, May 5th, so they can be delivered Monday morning, May 6th.
