Finding Passion in God and Family

I asked Pastor Mike and his family to answer the following Question: What things are you passionate about? Here are the things I learned. Every family has a rhythm—a set of shared values, traditions, and joys that give life its meaning. For the Moxley family, that rhythm is built on two unwavering passions: God and family. Here’s a glimpse into each of their hearts, in their own words and perspectives.
Pastor Mike: Leading with Love and Purpose
Mike is am extremely passionate about people growing in faith, having a place where they feel welcomed, and building relationships. He wants everyone—no matter where they’re coming from—to know they have a spot at the table. That’s the Gospel to Mike.
He loves preaching and teaching. Mike also feels especially called to serve the least, the lost, and the last. There’s nothing more powerful than seeing someone realize they’re loved by God—deeply, fully, and without condition.
Outside of church, Mike's greatest joy is his family. He loves doing anything and everything with them. Whether it’s a vacation, dinner at home, or a trip to the park—if they’re together, Add in his mom, dad, brothers, and their families and it's even better! Oh—and if you ever want to see Mike light up like a kid again, just put a pool cue in his hand and point him to a billiards table.

Jenni: Holding It All Together with Heart
Jenni has always admired the way Mike lives out his faith—not just on Sunday mornings, but in the quiet, everyday moments. He listens with intention, leads with compassion, and truly wants people to feel seen and known. As a wife, that kind of presence and integrity means everything. As a mom, it means even more.
Jenni is passionate about creating a home where their kids feel safe, supported, and celebrated for exactly who they are. She finds joy in the simple, grounding things—being outdoors, pursuing health and wellness, and nurturing the plants that fill their home with life. Whether she’s tending a garden or cheering from the sidelines, Jenni’s quiet strength and steady love help hold the family together.

The Kids: Being Seen and Supported
Each child in the family is wonderfully unique—and that’s exactly how Mike and Jenni like it. Hailie is full of energy and heart, always up for a game of softball or quality time with friends and family. She’s the kind of person who brings people together with her easy smile and team spirit.
Landon is a creative thinker with a big imagination. He loves video games and spends hours building his own video projects—always dreaming, designing, and diving deep into new ideas.
Jaxon is thoughtful and artistic, with a talent for drawing anime and a love for gaming on his computer. He and Landon often play their games “together but separate”—each immersed in their own screen but still sharing the same space and stories.
Ruby is their resident artist, constantly creating with crayons, pencils, or whatever medium she can find. She has a quiet creativity that speaks loudly through her beautiful drawings and colorful personality.
And then there’s Spencer—full of wonder and curiosity. He’s a huge fan of Spider-Man, a whiz at Roblox, and could happily spend the day diving into YouTube videos, soaking up facts and fun with wide-eyed enthusiasm.
Together, the kids bring life, laughter, and color to the family’s everyday rhythm—a living reminder that God creates each of us with something special to offer.
