Thank you so much for considering volunteering at this year's VBS.  We could not do it with out you.  Whether or not you can help for one day or all five we would love to have you!   Want to know more about a role before committing, check out the descriptions to the left.

Volunteer  Job Descriptions

What is a Crew Leader or an Assistant Crew Leader?
  • A Crew Leader is an adult or high schooler in charge of a crew of 3-5 elementary school aged kids during VBS.  The Crew Leader gets their crew to and from each station, and participates in station activities.
  • An Assistant Crew Leader is an junior high schooler or high schooler, who assists the Crew Leader during the week. 
What is a Preschool Crew Leader or an Assistant Preschool Crew Leader?
  • A Preschool Crew Leader is an adult or older high schooler in charge of a  helping with our Preschoolers during VBS.  We have a group of 15 three, four, and five year old get to and from each station, and participates in station activities.
  • An Assistant Preschool Crew Leader is an junior high schooler or high schooler, who assists the Preschool Crew Leaders during the week.
What is a Station Leader?  
  • A Station Leader is in charge of running their station each day during VBS.  This may include selecting different activities from the Station Leader guide and working with Katie/Val to ensure your station has the supplies it needs for each day. A Station Leader is typically an adult.
  • An Assistant Crew Leader is an junior high schooler, high schooler, or an adult, who assists the Station Description Leader during the week.
Miscellaneous Job Descriptions
  • Check-in: Help check-in the elementary-aged kids as they arrive in the morning.  Monday morning, we can use extra help.
  • VBS Photographer: Take pictures of the kids during the week for our daily slideshow.
  • Decorating: We will need help prepping decorations, as well as putting them up the weekend before VBS.
  • VBS Sub:  Fill in where needed, on days you are available.  Subs do not need to be able to come all week. 

Station Descriptions

  • Imagination Station: In Imagination Station Crews experience faith-building, sciency-fun activities together with the all-new Crew Teaching Kit.
  • Sticky Scripture: This all-new video based rotation station is where kids learn to apply the daily Bible Verse to real life−their life! (This is the station that is replacing KidVid.)
  • Bible Adventures: In Bible Adventures, kids will participate in an interactive telling of the daily Bible Story.  
  • Sing & Play: In Sing & Play, the kids engage in high-energy singing and dancing.  As learn to worship, in a fun and engaging way.
  • Quiet Room:  The Quiet Room is available in our Sensory Room for any kid who may need a break away from their crew and all the excitement.
