The Link: September Has A Fifth Sunday

After being removed from her biological home because her mother was unable to care for her, Bri came to Residing Hope. Watch as Bri talks about how the support she has received is helping her heal and become successful.

That means we are scheduled to have a Fifth Sunday Offering on September 29th! It was started in 1906, two years before the actual founding of the Florida Methodist Orphanage and remains our largest source of church funding and is a vital component to the ongoing ministry here at Residing Hope.

Since those early days, the dedicated partnership of faithful churches has empowered the work done here. We will soon be sharing a new video with you to play during worship for the Fifth Sunday.

We are hosting a 10th Anniversary Celebration for our Madison Youth Ranch on Saturday, October 12th, 2024. The gates will open at 10:00 a.m. We will have a celebratory program with a catered lunch and very special music and speakers beginning at 11:00 a.m. Ranch tours will be available until 2:00 p.m. There may even be a Cake Auction! Everyone is invited! With your enduring, incredible generosity, the Madison Youth Ranch, located at 1647 NE Captain Buie Road in beautiful Pinetta, has been providing transformative care for abused, abandoned and neglected children since 2014. A Big thanks to the Port Charlotte Global Methodist Church for their generous donation of pillows, sheets, comforters, hampers, and other items for use in our cottages. Your support means so much to us!

A big thank you to AdventHealth for their incredible support and generosity! Residing Hope is truly grateful for their volunteers, donations and all the fun they brought to our event in August! They brought their Christmas in July gifts and then played kickball with our children. They also served up delicious hamburgers and hot dogs with all the fixings. After their meal, they ended the day with ice cream! Their partnership and commitment to making a positive impact are truly appreciated!

Your Back to School support has been amazing and a bit overwhelming! We received monetary donations and school supplies from so many of you these past several weeks which makes the start of the school year so much easier for our children and youth! We do not possess enough words to adequately express our gratitude! Thank you!
