Waffles for Teachers
The Boomers met this week to start back their "Mailbox Motivations" for the teachers at Bannerman Learning Center. With it being the first of the school year, they went with "No Waffling Around!"
We want to give a big shout out to Waffle House for donating these coupons for waffles and hashbrowns, along with everyone from the church who donated waffles. The team is placing the frozen waffles in the teachers breakroom so they have breakfast/snacks when they need it to go along with National Waffle Week.
These small motivations make a huge impact the principal tells us. I want to give a big thanks to the hands that make this possible!

Upcoming for Boomers:
Here's what they've come up with for the coming months:
- October 23: Harvest Themed Charcuterie Station and Hot Apple Cider, so be thinking of what we can donate for the charcuterie board.
- (Pinterest has great ideas). A signup genius notice will be sent out.
- November 20: Caramel Apple Bar.
- We need suggestions for Monthly Mailbox Motivations beginning in November. Please share your ideas.
- December 16: Christmas Cookie Bar.
- The 16th is a Monday, so, hopefully, we’ll have volunteers donate homemade cookies that can be delivered to church on Sunday, December 15.
- January 8: Potato Bar
- February 14: Popcorn and Candy Bar
- March: Non-confirmed plans, but we are considering a Maple Street Biscuit Company Breakfast
- April: (Still thinking)
- May 5-9: Teacher Appreciation Week (still planning, but possibly a Waffle House breakfast one morning)
