Boomers and Women Join Together
Last Tuesday, twenty participants came together for an exciting evening of learning, creativity, and fellowship, as ladies hosted a Charcuterie 101 class. The class was led by the talented Deborah, with the assistance of her sous chef, Deleene, while Michele shared her expertise on crafting beautiful salami rosettes. It was a delightful evening filled with creativity, laughter, and food as participants learned the art of charcuterie board-making.
The group, made up of both Boomers and women of all ages, enjoyed not only the opportunity to enhance their culinary skills but also the joy of connecting with one another across different generations. This hands-on experience allowed everyone to take part in preparing delicious and visually stunning charcuterie boards.
As part of this outreach, ten completed boards were delivered the following morning to Bannerman Learning Center, along with hot teas and apple cider, to bless the teachers and support staff. This was a small gesture of appreciation to support the hardworking individuals at BLC. Each participant also had the chance to create a personal charcuterie cup to take home, adding an extra treat to the evening.
Next month, we’re looking forward to serving a caramel apple bar—another fun and tasty way to come together and give back to our community. We are grateful to everyone who supported this October motivation, and we’re excited to continue finding creative ways to serve and uplift those around us.
