The Ripple Effect of Love

What 64 People Can Do

As we reflect on 2024, it’s impossible to fully count the number of lives impacted through our church’s mission and ministry. But what we can do is tell the story of 64 people—just 64—who showed up with open hands, open hearts, and a fierce determination to love their neighbors.

Each act of service this year wasn’t just an event. It was a moment of transformation—a person or family whose life was touched because someone cared enough to say, “You matter.” And that love? It spread through our town, our county, and even our state.

Here are just a few glimpses of the ways you’ve made a difference:

  •  The Blood Drive
We donated 31 units of blood—enough to help 93 people right here in our own community. That’s not just numbers; that’s lives saved, hope restored.

  •  Hygiene Kits for UMCOR
Together, we packed 18 hygiene kits, helping UMCOR be ready and equipped for future disasters. When storms come, we’ll already have been part of the response.

  •  Support for the Children’s Home
From school supplies to Christmas gift cards and suitcases, your generosity helped support 74 children. Each item was a reminder that they are not forgotten.

  •  Kitchen of Clay – Year Two
Over 1,537 hot meals were prepared and served this year. That’s food for the body and nourishment for the soul.

  •  Food Drives with the Catholic Church
We came together across faith lines to collect 6,000 pounds of food. Among those donations were 70 birthday bags from Vacation Bible School—because every child deserves to be celebrated.

  •  Vacation Bible School
You served 60 children, including 10 preschoolers. For the first time, we opened a sensory room—and it was a stellar success, helping every child feel safe and seen.

  •  Hunger Fight – First-Time Volunteers
You packed 420 meals and brought another 640 back for the food pantry. That’s over a thousand meals in total—because hunger doesn’t wait.

  •  Christmas Sock Drive
We collected 146 pairs of socks for the clothes closet, with even more going to kids at Bannerman. Oh, and we made 48 Christmas stockings too!

  •  Parent’s Day Out & Sensory Santa
Eighteen children and their families—not from our church—came through our doors to experience love in action. We were able to bless them in ways that words can’t capture.
I can’t say this enough: You all are incredible.
