by Faith Parry on November 17th, 2023
In 1989, Heather is believed to be the youngest Floridian to receive a heart transplant at the time. She was 2 years old when she received her new heart at Shands. She contracted a live virus and gave her (cardiomyopathy) her heart was to big and it  was failing. She was the 61st person to receive a transplant by the University of Florida doctors, but one they would always remember because of her ...  Read More

by Eddie Coppage on October 6th, 2023
I did the challenge on Tuesday and Today, at 5 a.m. both days.I get up at 5 every day, usually filled with worries and anxiety about what the day will bring. I settled in both days, prayed for God to help me, and relaxed and prayed.I felt a sense of peace both days that I usually never feel. Desperate Prayers Answered
by Amanda Leslie on October 5th, 2023
A little over a year ago, I was in a dark place with my mood and mental health. I was at a low and having passive suicidal thoughts. (Thoughts wishing for death but no plan to act on them. I wished I would die in my sleep or a severe car crash. I just don't have it in me to do that to my family.) The grace of God kept me from having anything major happen. I wa...  Read More

After a year of tests my heart function improved. Faith and trusting God got me through all the run arounds of being listed and now currently my function hasn't changed. I still am stable, but one day I will need ...  Read More

by Michele Remolde on October 2nd, 2023
I’ve been praying for a 9 year old granddaughter of a friend who had a heart transplant. She coded at least once that I know of in the hospital prior to getting her heart. I prayed for donor family, patients family, doctors, nurses, the little girl and her family etc. She went home from the hospital Friday with a new heart. Miracles happen!...  Read More

Fireman's Tale
by Howard Rieger on September 30th, 2023
I scheduled the hour of prayer yesterday at 3. However, I couldn’t do it at that time because we were busy. When we got back from a call, I went out and rang 3 1/2 miles, that’s when I started my prayer hour. Right when I was finished, we had a call for an apartment fire in Orange Park. I felt different than I have on other fires. No one got hurt. But I actually felt like the God heard my prayers ...  Read More
