Palm Sunday
by Katie Strickland on April 5th, 2023
Palm Sunday, what an amazing day! It was such a fun day of fellowship with old friends and new friends from start to finish.  We had an amazing service with the kids leading us in waving palms.  Our Potluck Lunch was a wonderful opportunity to eat some delicious food (say hello thirds) and spend sometime chatting with everyone.  I know the kids had a blast collecting all the eggs during our Easter...  Read More

If you have driven through the church parking lot at night recently, you might notice something different. Our parking lot now puts off a wonderful glow from our new LED parking lot lights, making it safe for everyone walking to their cars.I want to start with a BIG thank you to Dave, Chip, and PJ for working on this project. Women in Fellowship and Service Together
by Deborah Hudgins on March 9th, 2023
Sisterhood of Grace is the women's ministry of FIUMC. We focus on faith, service, fellowship and FUN! By gathering once a month we are able to strengthen the bonds of the women in our church and community. All of our gatherings are an open invitation for women of all ages to participate. Over the last few months, we have served in The Kitchen of Clay providing soup and sandwiches to anyone in need; collected food and packed Thanksgiving boxes for families of children at Green Cove Springs Junior High; gathered for our annual Christmas party where we shared food, participated in a gift exchange, and collected socks for the Orange Park Clothes Closet; and most recently visited Sweet Pete's for a Chocoholic Tour followed by lunch.  Read More

Fun and Impact
by Faith Parry on March 9th, 2023

We received the following letter (pictured above) from The Clothes Closet a few weeks ago: Dear Pastor Parry,...  Read More

One of the most anticipated days in the life of the Florida United Methodist Children’s Home is our annual Day on Campus. Amazing People Doing Amazing Things
by Faith Parry on March 2nd, 2023
This past Saturday, around 20 people from our church came to worship, eat, and plan how God can use us this year. The day's theme was Overflow: Planning for Loving Others in Abundance. I enjoyed being the empower in the room, not the teacher or the leader. I got to answer questions and permit people to try new things. As my previous Bishop used to say, "It's better to try something a fail than not...  Read More
